St Mary’s Church,
The next meeting of 'Time well spent' will start on Friday 19th October. Coffee and chat from 11am, a cooked lunch and relax with friends.
The next Fish and Chips and Bingo at St John’s Church is on Tuesday 9th October at 12.30pm. Please let Beulah or the Vicar know if you wish to attend, all are welcome.
The next Fellowship group is in St Mary’s on Wednesday 26th September, 2-3pm. All welcome to explore a different passage from the bible each week.
The next Pizza Church will be on Sunday 21st October at 4pm. This is an informal session of worship and discussion in the church hall. Any and all ages are welcome to come and eat pizza and to explore their faith.
September has five Sundays, and the fifth Sunday we are joining together as a Mission Area at St Mary’s Johnstown at 10am where the service will focus on the diocesan link with SW Tanganyka. All are welcome.
Phil Carey will be having a welcome service at Pontfadog church on Tuesday October 2nd at 6pm followed by refreshments.
On Wednesday October 3rd at 2.30pm in Plas Telford St John’s church will be running an afternoon tea to mark Elderly Persons day. Cefn museum will be bringing a ‘museum in a box’ and all are welcome as helpers or participants.
MA Quiet Day. This will be on Saturday October 6th at St John’s Llangollen10am to 3.30pm. All are welcome, there will be a bring and share lunch.
The Harvest services this year will be on October 7th. St Mary’s at 9.30am followed by coffee, St John’s at 11am followed by a hotpot lunch and All Saints at 6pm followed by a harvest supper. The preacher at All Saints will be Lavinia Byrne.
Christmas Cards. This year the Church Committee are asking that, instead of buying large numbers of cards for the congregation, you sign the large card that will be at the back of church. Any money saved we ask you to donate to the church. Thank you.
