St John’s Church, Rhosymedre
St Mary's church will be open 10am-2pm on the first Saturday of the month during the warmer months, coffee available in the church hall until 12noon. If you can help please let the vicar or wardens know. Thank you. We are also looking for a relief cleaner to help out when our cleaner has a holiday. Please see the wardens if you are interested or know anyone who might be interested. Also anyone who would be interested in taking on the verger’s job at weddings and funerals.
The next fish and chips and bingo at St John’s Church will be on Tuesday October 10th at 12.30pm. Please let Beulah know if you are coming (810868)
The next meeting of 'Time well spent' at St Mary’s will be on Friday 20th October. Coffee and chat from 11am, a cooked lunch and a talk in the afternoon with tea and cake. If you wish to come in October please complete and return a form. The planning meeting will be on Tuesday 10th October at 2pm in the Church Hall. Thank you.
The Mission Area is running a ‘Leading your Church into Growth’ course at St Mary’s Church Hall, Johnstown. It will run on Tuesdays starting on 3rd October at 7pm. For all who wish to see their church grow and flourish into the future.
The Mission Area Quiet Day is on Saturday October 14th in Pool Quay. Please let Trish or the vicar know if you are interested in attending. It will be led Revd Jason Bray from St Giles’ Church in Wrexham. Tea/coffee will be provided, bring your own lunch.
The next joint service for the Mission Area will be on Sunday October 29th At Dewi Sant, Rhos at 10.30am. The preacher will be one of the prison chaplains from HMP Berwyn.

Just to let you know…..The clergy are away from Tuesday 19th September until Friday 22nd September on the clergy residential in Oxford. The Vicar is then on holiday from 26th September until 9th October, and Trish is away until 4th October.
