The Next meeting of 'Time well spent' is on Friday 18th October in St Mary’s Church Hall. Coffee and chat from 11am, a cooked lunch and relax with friends.
The Fellowship group meets in St Mary’s hall on Wednesdays, 12.30-1.30pm. All are welcome to explore a different passage from the bible each week.
The next Fish and Chips and Bingo at St John’s Church will be on Tuesday 8th October. Please let Beulah know if you plan to come.
There will be a Home Safety presentation by the Fire Service to be held at the George Edwards Hall on Tuesday 24th September @6pm, the event is open to all. If you would like to go please could you let me know so that I can let the clerk know numbers.
The next film night at St John’s Church will be on Saturday 28th September at 6pm.
The Penylan Produce Show will be on Saturday 14th September 2.30-5pm. Exhibits 20p an entry, refreshments available all afternoon.
There are posters at the back of church advertising St Mary’s History Exhibition in September. If you can put one up please take one. The Exhibition will open 10am-4pm Friday 19th and Saturday 20th as well as 1-4pm Sunday 21st September. Help will be needed to set up on the Wednesday and Thursday, and to provide milk, biscuits, cakes and scones for refreshments. Please sign the list at the back of church.
Sunday 29th September is a fifth Sunday, Archdeacon John Lomas will be preaching in St Mary’s Chirk at 10.30am. There will be a service at 8am in Ruabon, but no services in Penylan or Rhosymedre. There will be coffee and cake afterwards and donations are requested for Mission Area funds.
The harvest services this year will be on Sunday 6th October, 9.30am at St Mary’s, 11am at St John’s and 6pm at All Saints. There will be a Harvest hotpot supper on Saturday 5th October at 6.30pm. Please see Janet Okell for details.
